Steven R. Wild joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2016. He represents the university in transactions involving real estate, finance investments, public private partnerships, charitable gifts and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining the University, Wild was a partner with the law firm of Thompson Coburn LLP in St. Louis, where he practiced public finance and real estate law for 17 years, with emphasis on tax-exempt bonds, state and federal tax credits, tax increment financing, special taxing districts and other development incentives, municipal law, and public contracts. He has counseled developers, lenders, investors, governmental entities and nonprofit institutions on real estate development projects exceeding $1 billion. Prior to joining the firm, Wild served as Assistant City Counselor for the City of St. Louis, and as Judicial Clerk to the Honorable James A. Pudlowski of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.
Wild holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree with distinction in philosophy from Duke University, and a J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of Missouri, United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit and the D.C. Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
